August	Grey Zone	Fish are still feeding and fats are rising upto 30%
September	Grey Zone Norway	Last of the fish are caught before they move into the Norwegian grounds The fish have finished feeding and Norway starts catching and production
October	Norway Scotland Ireland Channel	The fats are still high around 26-30% most of the production is for the Far East The fish comes to the 5 degree line where the scottish vessels start their catching season A Local fishery starts of smaller fish approx 3-5 pcs/kg The season starts catching fish size 3-10 pcs/kg
November	Norway Scotland Ireland Channel	Fats come down to around 25% and other markest start to show interest in the production Landings in Scotland become more frequent as more fish moves out of the Norwegian sector Local Inshore fishery Good landings fats approx 18-20%
December	Norway Scotland Ireland Channel	Most of the Norwegian vessels finish their quota by Christmas Goods landings in Scotland The local fishery comes to a close as the fish move on Good fishing but bad weather can affect the landings as the vessels that fish here are smaller
January	Scotland Channel	Boats go back to sea after the Christmas break and nearly all of the fish is landed in Scotland as the fish is very close to the Scottish ports now. Good fishing but still rely on the weather
February	Scotland Ireland Channel	Still good fishing fish fats now around 18-20% Some fish have moved West of the Shetland Islands and the Irish fleet starts their catch towards the end of the month Good fishing fats around 16%
March	Scotland Ireland Channel	All of the fish is on the move now are there are still some landings in the west of Scotland. Fat around 16% the Scottish vessels finish up for the season at the end of the month. Goods Landings some of the fish start to have roe in them. Good fishing fat start to fall to 14%
April	Ireland Channel	Fish move down to Southern Ireland and most of the Fleet will finish their quota. Plenty of roe in the fish now fats around 12-14% Patcy fishing as the boats finish their quota. Fats down to 10%

HERRING CLUPEA HARENGUS

June	Scotland	The majes fishing starts, the fat is around 20%
July	Scotland	The majes season finishes and they start to fish for the herring with to full fleet fats around 16%
August	Scotland Ireland	The season is in full swing with the fish only a few miles form the shore, and the roe herring start to appear towards the middle to end of the month Some of the smaller vessels start to fish the local herring
September	Scotland & Ireland	The landings are good with the fat around 13%. The Scottish vessels finish their quota
October	Ireland	Good Landings with more of the main fishery moving down the Irish coast
November	Ireland	The season comes to a end with the fats around 10%
