North Sea Herring Cuplea Harengus

The fishing season starts mid June when the vessels catch the Majies herring (Very High fat herring for the Dutch market). By the first of July (16% fat) the main herring fishing starts with fish being landed between 100-350g. By mid August we also start fishing for the roe herring were we get a high yeid of apporx 20% for the female fish. The fishing goes on untill December but by then the fat levels have come down to between 8-10%.
The herring is normally caught by trawler and all of the vessels have good RSW tanks. As the fishing grounds are very close to the factories the herring arrives in first class condition. Again the fish is either whole frozen or processed by machiene.

Whole frozen We can offer the following sizes in either horizontal plate or 20 kg blast frozen. All the goods can either be with or without carton to meet the customer needs.

Deli Herring
This process is done by machiene and is either sold fresh or frozen.. We can offer deli cut from the following sizes
8-12: 10-14: 10-16: 16-24 pcs/kg
The finsihed product can either be tail on or off

Herring Flaps
Again this process is done by machiene and is sold either fresh or frozen. We can offer flaps from the following sizes.
8-12: 10-16: 12-18; 16-24 pcs/kg
It is also possible for us to cut single fillets

Splits
A traditional way of processing the fish for onward smoking into kippers. All of the splits are cut from fish size 200g+.
